If you want to get married in a city where everything can be pulled off without a hitch, Las Vegas is the capitol of matrimony. With more than 100,000 marriage licenses given out each year and an average of 328 weddings performed per day, Las Vegas knows weddings like nobody’s business. They’ve been one of the world’s most popular wedding sites for more than 50 years.
Many people choose Las Vegas for their wedding because of ease. No blood tests are required and there are no waiting periods. But it’s also popular because you can put together just about any kind of wedding you could ever dream up, on any budget, and have experienced professional staff to help you. Whether what you’re looking for is big or small, extravagant or quaint, themed or drive through, you’ll find what you’re looking for in Vegas.
People travel from all over the world to get hitched in Las Vegas. It’s easier than ever with access to the internet. Any number of chapels, outdoor gardens, themed wedding halls, and wedding planners have websites. No longer do you have to plan a wedding in person or visit beforehand to set everything up. You can research and book it all, from the church to the reception, in your own home.
Though Vegas weddings make much of the planning easier, there are a few things that you have to keep in mind. When you go to Las Vegas to get married, be prepared. Bring identification with proof of age. If you are under 16, you must have parental consent as well as a court order. Bring your social security number. If you aren’t a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and are visiting from another country, make sure to check what special requirements there might so that the marriage is recognized and official when you go home. You’ll need to start at the Clark County Marriage License Bureau before moving on to the ceremony, but rest assured that they are accustomed to handling massive streams of traffic and are open from 8 am to midnight every day including holidays.
When making long distance arrangements, sometimes most of the planning can be done with the hotel. Many of them have their own wedding chapel where the reception can take place. If you have guests coming to Las Vegas for your wedding, be sure to recommend a selection of hotels close to the wedding site to stay at. You probably won’t want all your guests at the same hotel you’ll be honeymooning at so research alternatives to make it easier for everyone.
After the wedding, choose a restaurant with care to really celebrate in style. There are a plethora of romantic Vegas restaurants to choose from, but make sure you have a reservation! If your wedding is themed, you will most likely to be able to find a reception location that fits right in. Also, most Las Vegas restaurants will happily provide the wedding cake if arranged for ahead of time.
With its endless possibilities for entertainment and fun, Las Vegas is the perfect location for the wedding, reception, and honeymoon. With all that Las Vegas offers, guests can stay busy and happy for a memorable occasion that no one will soon forget.
