Choosing The Flowers For Your Wedding Ceremony

The flowers for your wedding are a big expense, so you want to make sure you are getting the appropriate types for your day. There are a few considerations to keep in mind. Firstly, is the wedding ceremony taking place indoors or out?

If it is to be outside, then it is quite likely to be in a garden of sorts. This means you will not need many additional wedding flowers, possibly just a few flower stands and obviously the flowers for the wedding bouquet and bridesmaids.
If there is to be seating, you may also want to furnish each end of a row with perhaps some lavender or even Snapdragon.

However, there are other types of outdoor venue that do not include a garden such as a beach wedding. The surroundings may have some other plants such as palm trees and others but you may still want to add in a few extra stands of Hawaiian leis for added effect.

Maybe you are getting married in a forest. What a glorious setting with many trees and plants already there. Again, however, you may still want to add a few choice flowers of your own with a couple of stands draped with beautiful roses where you are to be married.

With an indoor wedding, there is more need for additional flowers, but this doesn’t mean you have to go over the top. Delicately simple can be very effective, but it all depends on your taste of course and the venue in question.
It is traditional for the ends of each row of seats to be garnished with a small arrangement of flowers such as freesias. This really sets the scene beautifully.

For a winter wedding you could go for artificial flowers. More and more people are going for this option due to the convenience and low cost,
not to mention that they also look fantastic and have their own unique style.

Artificial flowers are great for any season. Maybe you are having a spring wedding but have your heart set on roses. No problem with artificial flowers and you can book them early knowing that they will still be as beautiful on the day of your wedding.

Maybe you are not to fussed about artificial flowers for your winter wedding, and are opting for hothouse flowers. Orchids are always fantastic and with a wide selection of variations to suit your colors you are spoilt for choice. How about some Dendrobium Apphyllum for something a bit special. The pretty blue petals in the shape of a star are truly charming.

Plan your flower selection effectively by taking into consideration, location, (indoor or outdoor) and season. And if you really must have an out of season flower then maybe the artificial flower route is the best path.
