To add to the many tasks involved in planning your wedding, there is the wedding favors to attend to. However, this aspect can be a bit of light relief and an enjoyable part of your planning. Wedding favors are usually given to female wedding guests and there is a wealth of choice here. A great favor to give is in the form of a small bath accessory favor.
There is nothing more relaxing than a bath with gorgeous scents to help wind down as well as benefit the skin. There are so many types of beautifully crafted bath salts and soaps in suitably fancy packaging that will delight every one of your guests.
The favors can’t be too big, so going for a small but cute glass vial with colourful salts is a fantastic little gift. Many come with bows and ribbons to set off the colors. Perfect to sit beside each place card at the dinner table.
Tradition dictates that the wedding favors are presented to the female guests however, some couples are happy to stray from the norm and give all the guests gift favors. And why not? The guys would be just as happy with the candies and relaxing bath salts on offer (although they may not admit to it).
As well as bath salts, there are other types of bath gifts to choose from. Scented candles can be used for a warm romantic glow for a couple to bathe together. Maybe some hand crafted heart shaped soaps and other soap shapes in a beautiful box. You can do a bit of DIY and make the wrapping yourself.
Instead of items to put in the bath, you could have ornaments for around the bath or in the bathroom itself such as lovely little glass or china pot pourri holders. There are other items such as sponges and so on but we don’t want to get too boring.
For the younger guests, you can include fun soaps and colourful bath oil shapes. These come in all shapes and sizes such as hearts, stars, dolphins, you name it. Even bath bubbles are a good choice for the kids (and for the older ones too) in the smaller containers.
Bath confetti is another great idea with a multitude of beautiful and imaginative containers. You could buy the confetti in bulk and choose a variety of wrapping and containers and have a “making favors” evening with your bridesmaids. Putting a personal touch on the wedding favor makes it all the more valuable and appreciated.
What a great idea to be able to combine a gift that is both practical yet luxurious. Don’t forget to include one for yourself!
